comptine d’un autre été - yann tiersen

More like of a heavenly tune, so surreal.. I wonder how glorious and comforting the songs in heaven will be.. O that I may be away from this body and be closer to God but this in His appointed time..
Things to consider for the PNLE.
December 15, 2010A lot of people are in much expectation regarding the Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam(PNLE) and this goes even far beyond the pretakers themselves. Everyone’s pretty much hyped up and this obviously includes the families of every Nursing graduates who are aspiring for the title as Registered Nurse(R.N.). Some among the line of excited supporters are those who have been financial providers abroad in the form of relatives.
All of these boil down to a one heck of a pressurized PNLE taker and someone who would wish to be away from it all if given a chance. This is why we are all here, to ease up the pressure and get some whorthwhile and reasonable tips from someone who has gone through this valley of the shadow of death ordeal. LOL! =D
To start, here are some verses coming straight from the Book of Life, the Bible.
-Matthew6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness and all these things will be added to you as well.
-Luke1:37 Impossible is nothing with God.
As David faced his Goliath, you are now facing the Goliath of your life as of the moment. So, you must learn from what David did when he engaged the Hindrance towards his glory.
-David chose to use what he has mastered, the sling instead of the sword, shield and armor.
-David faced and defeated his enemy not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of God (through faith in the word and promises of God).
Now to the details:
Days prior the exam
-THE SECRET IS TO STAY CALM AND FOCUS, sacrifice the “wants” over your “needs” even for just a couple of days, please dedicate all of you to God’s glory and for the exam.
-Go to the PRC office days prior the exam and check for your School, room and seat assignment.
-Go to your assigned area a day before the exam to survey its condition and for you to be able to expect of some of the factors that you may be dealing with on the day of exam. Put in to account very well of how to get to your assigned area.
-Pray for the room and the chairs. (The power of prayer is beyond what we can comprehend just have faith).
-Prepare every necessary things that would be needed especially the documents, ID, appropriate pencils with eraser, etc.
-Choose to bring your own meal and drinks (preferrably moderate rice, and viand that is not more on carbo as this will require a lot of oxygen in the stomach for digestion which means less oxygen for your brain. Bring pure water for drinks and take note that the container must be crystal clear transparent and do not forget to get rid of label in every disposable bottle.
-Buy some bite-size chocolates to back you up with a sugar rush during the exam. (Remember that the brain needs an excellent supply of oxygen and glucose to keep it to a frenzy and give you a highly efficient performance.
-Eat vanilla ice cream and chocolates to lighten up the anxiety.
-Prepare meds for GI disturbance which is precipitated by stress, something to lower the peristalsis.
-Scan your notes and ask God to reveal to you the vital things for the exam. Again, have faith.
-Reserve your time and energy instead of wasting it outside the house.
-Get an early good night rest. (Easy for me to say!) haha
The Big Day
-Wake up early.
-Have a complete yet moderate meal.
-Bring some of your most important notes.
-Bring handkerchief eventhough they told you not to.
-Don’t forget your stuffs.
-Depart for your assigned area early to avoid traffic and for you to have enough time to relax and gain composure.
-Refrain from conversing with other people, as much as possible review your notes or even just scan them and just stay at your seat. (Others call this as cramming, I call it dilligence and getting the meat out of it). FOCUS on your battle even for just 2 complete days.
-Take a nap or read your notes in between every Test.
-Have your meal inside the room, just go out to relieve yourself in the C.R. then get back immediately. FOCUS.
-Don’t forget to pray. Ask God that you may find favor in His eyes and on the proctors.
-Consider every breaktime as an opportunity for pit stop or to reload your arsenals for the next round of carbon grinding, muscle straining and sweat breaking action.
-When you are in war you must be focused.
USEFUL TIPS:
Utilize your handkerchief as a barrier between the paper and your hand when shading, this will prevent your hand from spreading the carbon substance from your shading and on to all over the entire sheet of paper.
Reserve the 30mins of the entire test taking time exclusively for shading, believe me you’ll thank me for this.
-Bear with me if you find any corrections in this article with regards to spelling, grammar or sentence structure, haven’t got any sleep yet and it’s almost 9:40 in the morning.
Soon, motorcade is on its way to your doorstep! =D
That’s all for now. All these to God be the glory.. God bless and not goodluck to all pretakers. Adios!
To the One who enables me. A psalm I think.=D
November 5, 2010You make me speak with words of wisdom,
which I can not learn even with my entire lifetime.
You fill me with the joy of Your presence.
You let me experience how it is to be wise,
even for just a little while.
I understand that I am nothing apart from You,
but when You are with me then no one can be against me.
I am unable to make someone understand
or even experience the joy of Your presence because even I,
can not define it, yet we may but that can only be if You enable us.
Look beyond what is seen
The worst thing that someone can experience is not death in the most brutal way
nor anything as far more than we can imagine but the absolute or total absence of
God’s love and grace for us.
Yes, we may say that a brutal way of death is a worse thing to happen to someone
but the worst is still being completely separated from God’s love and sadly only a
few deeply understands why.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3
October 15, 2010In honor of the late Ninoy Aquino was this terminal dedicated and the monument in the picture above can be found inside it somewhere in between a pair of check-in counter lanes.
I have been through this terminal during my Davao-Manila trip and if I am right I believe that this is one of the best we have in the country. The walk is quite long on your way from the aircraft and on to the arrival area, but moving walkways or walkalators in layman’s term can be found along the way.
The second time I have been here was when I accompanied my mother and sister for their flight bound for Davao. It is during this time that I saw the other side of this terminal which is the pre-departure area. I can say that they are somewhat lenient for allowing non-passengers to enter the facility and freely roam around to almost the entire area. This I believe they did to promote the business establishments like 7eleven, Jollibee, etc. which are fairly located on the 4th floor.
The architect of this terminal did a great work in harnessing the natural sunlight to brighten the indoor of the facility by day which was a wise idea and energy-saving too.
I believe and look forward to having several arrival and departure through this terminal in my domestic flights. I am claiming for those several trips as God opens my door to opportunities of travelling in and out of the country partly for leisure and mainly for the purpose of fulfilling His agenda.

PGH Application
October 2, 2010I passed the Nursing Proficiency Exam(NPE) but here comes the next round which is the panel interview and additional four months of waiting
The much awaited releasing of exam results landed on Oct1, 2010 and the feeling of excitement rushed within me. The thought of knowing that my full confidence is in God didn’t spare me the doubt of “what if God will not give me this one?” and clearly Satan was in full gear and on the move of opposing God’s promise for me.
I had my way on to PGH with the thought that the Nursing Services Office(NSO) was located on the 2nd floor to the right side from the entrance yet I was wrong but still God was lovingly guiding me and I saw this man whom I never fail to see everytime I go there. He kindly guided me to the said office along his way out of the building.
Finally I found my way to the NSO and upon gazing on the bulletin board and on to the list of passers, I failed to see my name. To my surprise, the list of passers for our batch were still not posted thus giving me a sigh of relief. I decided to have a pee in the CR and to let the time pass thinking that the posting may have been delayed so I better wait until after lunch. My mom was so inquisitive in texting me and for me it was a timely warning for me to get hold of my self and decide to enter the office and inquire regarding the list. Gladly I received a yes, upon entering the office and inquiring whether I passed the exam.
I was then asked to read the requirements for the completion of a certain form. To her surprise, I already have the requirements with me and I told her that the proctor told us that we must secure the requirements right after seeing our names in the list of passers. Unknowingly, she was the same lady who gave us the exam a month ago and for me it was a plus for thinking positively and preparing ahead of time in my part.
When I was filling up the form, the people inside the office were scrambling when they heard that Mayor Lim was on his way through the corridors and is about to pass the office on his way to where raiza’s room is, she was one of the victims in the post-bar exam bombing incident. I was thrilled to see a glimpse of him through the window blinds and for me it was a bonus gift from God.
I then finished filling up the form and as I was blessed, I want to return the favor by giving out some helpful information for those planning to apply to this institution.
First thing to do is to join this yahoogroup PGH then check for any updates regarding schedules of submission of requirements.
It would spare you your effort, money and time if you check updates through the link instead of personally going to their office because they’ll still point you back to that site once you inquire regarding updates on slots or upcoming applications.
Be sure to check the site regularly because alot of nurses are also eyeing on any updates regarding the job application and indeed the early bird catches the worm as a saying goes.
Updates will be posted and prayers in my behalf would be much appreciated. God bless.

September 26, 2010 Post-bar exam bombing incident
September 28, 2010
It was just an ordinary day for me and I was on my way home from our regular Sunday service at Philippine Trade Center. I was sitting comfortably exactly on the seats after the driver inside an air-conditioned bus as it goes along its route. Upon arriving at the point where Taft Avenue and Vito Cruz meet we saw what seems like a commotion. Instantly, the thought that it was only due to the annual bar exam came to my mind.
The said event has finally met its finality as it was its fourth and final Sunday for the examinees. I saw a large number of people and some police officers occupying the very busy highway, everyone seemed to be busy minding their own stuffs. Out of nowhere here’s this group of people that caught my attention whom were hurriedly walking their way passing in front our bus from the left going to the right side. A number of men were grabbing this guy on the back of his shirt as they go their way to this satellite police station as I presumed. I never had the real reason behind that scene which seemed to me as only a simple case of theft. I thought that he was just someone who was caught for pickpocketing until I got home and had a look at the TV and tuned to local news.
The news regarding the bar exam flashed on to the screen and I learned that the earlier scenes which appeared before us were beyond the usual ending of a bar exam and that it was connected to frat wars. This alleged conflict between fraternities caused the seemingly simple bombing which led to serious injuries of a number of people. From there I remembered the group of people which were grabbing that certain guy on their way to a police station. I readily thought that maybe he was one of the perpetrators yet still was not sure about this even until now.
I can only say that the incident surely left a mark in the hearts and minds of the people involved and also on those who were only innocent victims. I realized that we really have a lot of reasons to be thankful to God and also a lot of things to do on our part for the good of everyone. I believe that the tragic incident is purely due to evil which happens when God is not the center in a person’s life. Thus, our part in the pie is to share God’s reality by living out His love through our lives and on to the people around us.
To some, the blame automatically falls on those evildoers, yet, unconsciously we in part are also evildoers even in our own little way. No one’s actually to be blamed but Satan because only he is the being behind every evil deed. Clearly, pointing finger on people means having unfair judgments due to spiritual blindness because evil deeds happen only when human beings agree to walk hand in hand with Satan. In this, evil deeds only happen with our consent and sadly it often comes innocently-looking towards our way.
To briefly end this, every event that happens in our lives or whatever circumstances we may be in should make us think deeper in to its roots and see the real cause and the purpose. Everything points us back to God through Jesus Christ; the need for repentance, salvation and of living out our real purpose here on earth in which God originally made us for. Instead of being used for the glory of Satan let your life be spent for the greater glory of God.
